I’ve been drawing King Kamehameha since I was 7 and the habit remains. The more I learn about him the more the portrait changes. This is my recent depiction of him in his early 20’s. By this time he had fought enough battles to attain a level of confidence almost unmeasured with others of his status. I try to show that he carries a heavy burden surrounded by Politics, conflicting ego’s & enemies throughout his childhood.
